Famous Tourist Places of Delhi

Agrasen Ki Baoli
Located on the Haley Road near Connaught Place and at walking distance from here. Agrasen or Agra Sain ki Boali (stepwell) is a protected monument by ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) under AMASR Act of 1958. This Stepwell is very less known to the tourist and beyond imagination as it is located in heart of Delhi city and highly commercialized area.
Agrasen Ki Baoli in size it is 60 mtrs. long and 15 mtrs. wide. Once you enter inside, large size stairs stepping down to the bottom of the baoli, however, it is almost dried up. There well which is not accessible for the visitors as the path goes to well has been closed.
During my last visit in October 2013, Agrasen Ki Baoli was not well maintained, however, there is security guard appointed but is of no use. Baoli is mostly visited by the students which usually bring some snacks to eat in there. Any responsible traveler can see the left overs or wraps around. And of course, house for pigeons and pigeon waste can be seen at the bottom of the Stepwell at a large extent.
Apart from bad maintenance, it is worth visiting while you are in Connaught place, by walk it is 20 to 30 mins away from Connuaght place.
