Elephant Ride in Jaipur

Jaipur a famous travel destination of Rajasthan embedded with beautiful gems like monuments such as Amber fort, Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), Jai Mahal, Jantar Mantar (astronomical observatory), City Palace, Galwar Bagh Temple (Monkey Temple), Nahargarh Fort or Tiger Fort, Jaigarh Fort are some of interesting places to explore in Jaipur. Among all these Amber Fort is the main attraction which is highlighted due to one important activity takes place everyday called Elephant Ride. During British Era, Jaipur was a favorite place for British Officers and other personalities, therefore, the Jaipur Maharajas used to arrange Elephant Rides to honor their guests up to Amber fort. Elephant is guided by its driver aka Mahout with the help one small spiky hook and two persons can sit on the back in wooden made opened Palanquin and Elephant ride serves as Shuttle Service from outside Amber Fort to the entrance of the Fort. Later return will be by walk.

Ride on Elephant is comfortable as its back is flat and walking slowly, therefore no chance of any bumpy ride. You will find ride on Elephant Back surely better than driving a car on bumpy roads. On the way, photographers ask for the shooting your photos which you can buy on your return from Amber Fort and cost you approx. 1 USD.

In case of Unavailability of Elephants, tourist can take the Jeep service. Return by walk to parking area.

Seven Times Hike in Aeronautical Tariffs Mumbai Suggested

Following the same manner as Delhi IGI International Airport has opted, the Mumbai Internaitonal airport under the control of GVK Power and Infrastructure limited, has suggested 7 times hike in the aeronautical tariffs. Currently proposal is lying with AERA (airports economic regulatory authority) and is under process.

This proposal already so much criticism from airline operators in India and the India Tourism Industry..

The whole travel industry unanimously considered this move as negative and unacceptable.
