North India – North Indian part is more close to Himalayas, than other regions of India. From historical view point, North India was the center for rule and commerce during the empires and dynasties ruled in India such as Gupta, Maurya, Mughal, Maratha, Sikh and British India.
Every empire which ruled on North India region has left the impression of culture, religion, architecture, life style etc which implies for diversity of cultural heritage. Stronger impression was of Religions and architectures. Thus, there are many religious places in North India devoted to different gods and goddesses. Some of the famous temples of North India are Chardham which includes Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badirnath. Although, this is shorter circuit of Chardham Yatra also known as Chota Chardham Yatra, where as the longer Chardham Yatra includes Badrinath, Dwarka, JaganNath Puri and Rameshwaram. Other religious places are Amarnath Yatra, Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra, 9 Devi Yatra, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mathura & Varindavan, Allahabad, Varanasi and the Buddhist Circuit which includes Sarnath, Rajgir Nalanda, Sarvasti, Vaishali, Kushinagar & Lumbini (in Nepal), Golden Temple of Amritsar, Ajmer-E-Sharif in Ajmer, Brahma Temple of Pushkar.
The world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO (United Nation’s Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) are Valley of Flowers in Uttarkhand, Qutub Minar in Delhi and Taj Mahal in Agra.

Central India

From Travel and Tourism view point we are just considering only one province Madhya Pradesh as geographically located in the center of India. Madhya Praesh means province in the center and has plenty options for being considered as Travel Destination. This part of India is away from Himalayas which implies that it will not be much cold in winter compared to Northern India Provinces and otherside it is also away from Coastal areas so will not hot all year along. Therefore, the weather conditions in here are moderate not so hot and not so cold.

Central India offers you the opportunity to see the Natural beauty with rivers like Narmada, Tapti, Chambal & Mahanadi and interestingly one third part of Madhya Pradesh is forest area and famous for wildlife National Parks such as Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Shivpuri, where tourists can spot the tigers, the bisons with a large number of deer and antelope. Apart from Natural beauty, it also have man made beauty which is world around famous and recoganized. The importance can be understood as UNESCO (United Nation's Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) has declared the following monuments as World Heritage Sites:
