The importance can be understood as UNESCO (United Nation's Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization) has declared the following monuments as World Heritage Sites:
1. Khajuraho Group of Monuments
2. Buddhist Monuments at Sanchi
3. The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetika
There are few hill stations also which travelers can explore. Among hill stations, Panchmarhi, Amarkantak and Shivpuri can be visited.
