Goa is getting more tourist arrivals from East Europe through chartered flights
UK, Russia, Poland, Germany, Norway, Kazakhstan, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Netherlands and Iran are the countries from where tourists came in chartered flights. Goa Tourism Industry has recorded substantial increase in the tourist arrival through chartered flights from Eastern Europe in the current season. The Eastern European tourists from countries such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan topped the tally of chartered foreign arrivals in the coastal state, State tourism director Swapnil Naik said.
According to the Goa Tourism Department, a total of 781 chartered flights, carrying 1,56,541 travelers from 12 countries landed in Goa since the start of the tourist season in October last year._____________________________________________________________________________
